Kilo Architectures Paris
Escales
The exhibition presents some forty projects, from the house to the city, all at the same scale across one continuous territory. Like a tangible memory of the firm’s ten-year trajectory, this imagined topography collapses time and geography. Out of this confrontation emerges an exploration of scale and territorial structure that lies at the heart of KILO’s work. Investigating these new scales dissolves the usual notions of program, form and context. Here, the search for singularity is not one of formal distinction, but rather the invention of new modes of intervention within territories. The project becomes a form of resistance to the standardization of our environments and our experiences.
