Jamie Fobert Architects

Working in Architecture

London-based practice Jamie Fobert Architects has gained a reputation for innovative and inspiring architectural design for houses, retail and the arts. Projects include major extensions for Tate St Ives and Kettle’s Yard Gallery and several award-winning houses.

This exhibition coincides with the publication of Working in Architecture, a book which aims not only to convey the finished product of an architecture practice but also, in some way, to make plain the process of design inherent in the work. This exhibition is intended to be a physical manifestation of the book. It will demonstrate the making of things and the materiality that is explored in our practice.

A wide range of our projects will be represented, with a special emphasis on our most recently completed project in Paris — the new shops on rue des archives — and a forthcoming second phase of work for BHV, the restoration and revitalisation of the neighbouring historical courtyards.
