The concepts of landscape, urban planning and architecture are intimately linked. Deeply attentive to these issues, OLGGA develops projects whose genesis invariably arises from the synthesis between an accurate integration into the territory and an evident clarity of function and use. This attachment to landscape is all the more present given that, for the past 15 years, a growing share of OLGGA’s output has consisted of designing and building sports facilities of every scale, from the local gymnasium to the sports ground and on to stadiums of national scale. The scale demanded by this type of program gives us the opportunity to compose across the range from the human scale to the vast landscape, and requires us to rethink the relationship between people and their territory. The goal of these architectural interventions is to make sense with the place, to reveal it while magnifying it, so as to make it understandable and appropriable by all.
