L’altérité des pièces et la promesse des formes
The immediate experience of architecture is an intense existential experience that unites us with the world, with others, and with ourselves. The experience of being with oneself unfolds within the intimacy of the room, all of whose characteristics express the human scale. That of being with others is perceived through the relational qualities that the plan composes between its own rooms. And that of being in the world can be produced by the architectural form that organizes the close relationship between beings and territory. The room can thus be considered an original architectural unit, whose multiple assemblages, in their encounter with the plan, foster the creation of unexpected forms.
The exhibition shares twenty years of architectural practice through a design culture built around the notion of the room. With drawing as a resource for seeing, designing and showing, with models of every scale for a sensory immersion, and with the book for another sense of time, this journey explores the multiplicity of emotions elicited by architectural experience.
