Heide von Beckerath Alberts Architekten   Berlin

Cette agence berlinoise a été fondée en 1996 par trois associés : Tim Heide, Verena Von Beckerath et Andrew Alberts. L’exposition propose des projets réalisés entre 1996 et 1999 attachés au développement de l’agence et à ses méthodes de conception et se déroule principalement à partir du projet « Wunschhaus # 1 », réalisée à Hamburg en automne 1999. 

On retrouve dans ce projet une double réflexion sur l’architecture en tant qu’habitation et produit. Cette maison unifamiliale, standardisée et diffusée par une importante entreprise allemande, met en discussion la demande de l’habitation moderne et les divers modes de vie possibles liés au cliché pavillonnaire.

« Typologically this house is without doubt the most innovative in the competition. It starts from a concentrated core living area with a second layer of functional rooms arranged around it. Two rooms on the ground floor, two on the upper floor, functional rooms and communication areas are on the outside. In this the interaction between the inner and outer areas is particularly important and provokes the inhabitants to devise new rituals for living together.
