Agence Ter   Paris

Natural ecosystems in cities, bioclimatic public spaces, parks and neighborhoods designed as hydrological modulation systems, forest cities, metropolitan terroirs : for more than 30 years Agence Ter has been exploring ways of incorporating living environments into urban areas and of using landscaping projects to provide climate services.

Henri Bava, Michel Hössler, Olivier Philippe and their team, who were awarded the prestigious Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme in 2018, now present an exhibition-manifesto centered round ​“living soil” as the foundation for urban and regional resilience.

Cross-sections are the exhibition’s central medium. They are able to show the complexity of a site, covering all its horizons, its visible and invisible layers from the biosphere to the sub-soil. Cross-sections are the starting point for many of Agence Ter’s projects. Symbolic of the horizon, they define the art of landscape design.

Inspiring, they are presented in the form of vibrant, living paintings.

The exhibition is designed as a cabinet of curiosities showcasing the firm’s projects and will include a round table bringing together experts from different environmental professions.
