Baumschlager-Eberle Architectes Paris
Du régional à l’international, construction : projets 1996 – 2002
The exhibition reviews seven years of experience of the Austrian architecture firm in developing construction concepts — major projects and buildings, as well as numerous competitions and expert commissions that have earned the firm Baumschlager-Eberle international recognition.
From the regional to the international : the exhibition presents the broad range of their architectural expertise. Through built and unbuilt projects, a wide diversity of concepts sit side by side, revealing what characterizes Baumschlager-Eberle above all : a deep understanding of the principles specific to each project. The architects build a bridge between the cultural continuity of cities and landscapes and contemporary technologies which, today, allow for an exceptional level of quality and comfort. This implies a perpetual interaction between architectural language, urban structures and the architectural work itself, creating a new vision of the concept of sustainable development.
The exhibition presents models and plans of several projects that have marked these seven years of work, including Schwechat Airport (Vienna).
