Atelier PO&PO   Paris

The exhibition addresses two themes in the work of Atelier PO&PO, Jean-Luc Calligaro and Bruno Palisson :

The first presents their trajectory and their various completed works through a scenography built around the street and the world of the construction site. It focuses in particular on public facilities such as swimming pools, dojos, gymnasiums, leisure centers, youth clubs, and more.

Leaving the street and the construction site behind, we move further into the firm’s world as they share their approach to the question of densifying our cities and our towns, which are increasingly spreading into wheat fields. This second theme, presented through a sequence of images on television screens, shows 10 of their ongoing projects and focuses on a strong and topical subject : housing and housing developments.

Winners of the CAUE 77 and Conseil Général Prize for Contemporary Architecture, with a project of 19 social housing units in Vert-Saint-Denis, they subsequently won a number of competitions and received direct commissions for market-rate housing. The combination of sites, local zoning plans and client programs has led them to develop housing schemes offering genuine intermediate spaces between the public and the private realm.
